National Health ID

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of a national health ID for every Indian while addressing the nation on the occasion of 74th Independence Day.

• It was already been planned by "Niti Aayog" proposal to create a centralized mechanism on year 2018 to identify every participating user in the National Health stack.

• According to the National Health Authority (NHA), every patient who wishes to have their health records available digitally must start by creating a Health ID.

   What is the benefits or purpose of National Health ID : 

• Through the government's One Nation one health card scheme, everyone has to get a health card made. The complete information about the treatment and test that results from this will be digitally saved in this card. 

• Record of this information will be kept.Its biggest advantage will be that when you go to any hospital or doctor in the country for treatment, you will not have to take all the prescription and test reports together. The doctor will be able to sit from anywhere and see all the medical records through your unique ID.    

    How National Health ID will work ?

• The Health ID is created by using a person’s basic details and mobile number or Aadhaar number. This will make it unique to the person,who will have the option to link all of their health records to this ID.This ID probably have 14 digit no,will be generated for everyone.

• Hospitals,clinics,doctors will be linked to a central server to keep medical data of the person. For the hospital and the citizens, it will now depend on their will whether they want to join this mission or not. A unique unique ID will be issued for every citizen. Login will be done on the same basis. The National Digital Health Mission mainly focuses on four things-Health ID, personal health records, registration of Digi doctors and health facilities across the country.

       Government Funding ?

• According to the report, this scheme will be started first in select union territory of the country,such as Andaman,Nicobar,Poduchery,Ladakh etc.  and after that it will be implemented in different phases in the country. 

• For this, the Finance Ministry has also approved Rs 470 crore (Approx.) In this scheme, the privacy of the data of the health ID holders will be fully taken care of. No one else will get their information without their consent. People can also add this unique Health ID to the Aadhaar card, for this the option will remain open.

      Conclusion:

• It is envisaged that various healthcare providers,such as hospitals, laboratories, insurance companies, online pharmacies, telemedicine firms will be expected to participate in the health ID system.

• It is not mandatory,whether you can avail or not,entirely up to your decision.But as per as my suggestion we have to avail it through this new unique system.We should always welcome good things.

Chennai Andaman & Nicobar Submarine Optical fiber Cable Link

  :Chennai Andaman & Nicobar Submarine Optical fiber Cable:

• PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate 2300-km undersea cable project to boost connectivity to Andaman & Nicobar Islands on August 10,2020.

• This is the much-awaited ₹1,224-crore Chennai-Andaman & Nicobar  undersea Internet cable,the submarine Optical Fibre Cable (OFC), was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on last Monday.

• The PM of India will launch and dedicate to the nation the project which will boost connectivity to Andaman & Nicobar through video conferencing.Please find picture 1, show overall map indicating routing from Chennai to Andaman-

• The submarine Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) will also connect Port Blair to Swaraj Dweep (Havelock),Little Andaman,Car Nicobar,Kamorta, Great Nicobar, Long Island and Rangat.

      Salient Points:

• The Andaman and Nicobar Islands,a Union territory of India comprising 572 islands of which 37 are inhabited.

• The territory’s capital city name is "Port Blair".

• Cable system will have 400 Gigabit per second.Once inaugurated,the submarine OFC (Optical Fibre cable) link will deliver bandwidth of 2 x 200 Gigabits per second (Gbps) between Chennai and Port Blair and 2 x 100 Gbps between Port Blair and the other islands.

• The eight islands to be connected with Chennai,include port blair,little Andaman,Kamota,Great Nicobar,Havlock,Long & Rangat islands.

• The Prime Minister had laid the foundation stone of this project on December 30, 2018, at Port Blair.

• Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) executed this project while Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL) is the Technical Consultants under department of telecommunications of India.

 

    

• The Prime Minister had laid the foundation stone of this project on December 30, 2018, at Port Blair and completed within its schedule timeline.
• Indian government also plan to develop transshipment port at great Nicobar island at approx cost around 10000 cr. rupees. Obviously it will generate revenue in future for Indian Government.

• Fiber optic cables have transformed telecommunications and connectivity.A fiber-optic cable is designed to protect the inside fiber core that carries the transmission of a light signal.Please find below picture 7 for indicate detail construction of OFC.

• After the lunch of this project, the internet bills in Andaman and Nicobar will also come down substantially.

• Boost mobile services in island.

• Facilitate digital education and digital health.

• promote tourism & tourist services.

• Will strengthen Indian's defense and security. 

Universal Service Obligation Fund:

• Now you think from where does money will come from? This project cost funding generated from universal service levy (USL).

• Funds come from the Universal Service Levy (USL) of 5% charged from all the telecom operators like Vodafone,Airtel,Jio on their Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) which are then deposited into the Consolidated Fund of India.

Known about important things of Indian Railway

:Known About Important things of Indian Railway :

          Introduction:

• Today we will discuss about many symbols, tricks, equipment detail of train which we see when traveling by train and many people may not observe about this.

         

    1)  Roof Ventilator system:

• When we travel by train we see a net on roof of inside the train. That is called roof top ventilator system. Please find below picture (figure 1) for your better understanding-

• You know that hot air always goes up.When the train is very crowded, that time you have to get out hot air from the particular coach.So net is fitted inside train,so that hot air easily escape out from inside coach and one cover is fitted above or outside the train for serve this purpose.The cover is provided on top so that water cannot enter inside train during rain.

       2)  Electricity supply of train's fan-light:

• One thing you will notice is that the train's fan,lights will never run in your house.The railway team noticed that the fan-light is being stolen.So they came up with an one trick.Then railway engineer came up or bought new plan for 110 volt DC supply of fan,light and other associate appliances.We all know that all household appliances run 220 volt AC.If electricity turned off, our appliances run either 5,12 volt DC or 24 volt DC through battery or inverter. So the railway engineer was forced to install all the appliances including 110 voltage DC and in this way the theft of the light fan are stopped.Please find below picture (figure 2) wherein fan,lights are installed at roof top of coach.

• This current 110 volts of the train comes from the battery box,which is installed at bottom of train as indicated in below picture (Figure 3).

• You have also seen that most of the mobile chargers inside the train coaches are burn out to some extent.The reason behind mention in below.

• All are known that an one well known electrical formula P=V x I,

       wherein P = Power, V= Voltage, I= Current.If Voltage goes                     down,then current goes up. 

• As you know that our mobile charger runs on 220 volt current in place of residence.Now voltage of train is only 110,accordingly current goes up and chance of burning of electric wire. That's why in train clearly written that please do not charge mobile from night 10 pm to 6 am.It will supply more current in charger and accident may happen. 

     3)  Side Filling and Lift Here:

• As you seen that "Side filling" and "Lift Here" appears in the bottom of the Railway coach as indicated below figure 4.

• The significance of "Lift here" is that point where they are suppose the attach the hook for lifting coach to separate bogie. Please see below picture for better understanding-

• Whenever a train starts its journey from particular station, originating station, the water generally used by passengers for toilets, and wash basins come from the water line present in the originating station.Before the start of the journey, the water from the pipe lines are filled as shown below-

• The capacity of a normal Indian Coach Factory coach  is 500L per tank as shown in below picture-

• A coach has four of these tanks (so the total capacity is 2000L per coach). Time required to fill one coach in mid-journey is between 3 and 4 minutes depending upon the flow of water (varies continuously).While the time required for filling the coach while shunting or before staring is between 15 and 20 minutes.

• At most of the places 4” diameter water header pipeline is provided along entire length of the platform connected with the water tanks and with very few stations having 6” diameter pipe. From the main water header, 2” valve and flexible pipes of 32 mm dia. are used to fill water in the coaches as shown in below picture-

  4)  Roof mounted package unit:

• If the train coach is air conditioned,then tanks are to be installed in bottom due to space constraints.In upper side of train two nos roof mounted package unit (RMPU) installed as indicated in below picture 5 for better understanding.

• That's why water is pumped from the tank into the train coach.The AC unit in such coaches is roof mounted and hence there is no space available for overhead water tanks. Each air-conditioned passenger coach is equipped with two undercarriage water tank modules,each module have two tanks with a holding capacity of 450 litres each and have 2 nos monoblock water pump 3 phase,415 volt placed with tanks also.

• Each railway coach consist of 2 nos of package unit,called as RMPU. Each package unit have 7 Ton capacity,operated by 415 volt,3 phase.Mounted above the toilets on both ends,supplying cold air to coach end to end. Please find below picture-6 for your better understanding-

• Please find below advantages of RMPU over conventional Air conditioning system.   

 5)  Railway Toilet:

• Earlier there was an open discharge toilet in Indian railway coach.But having this system would have been very dirty in railway station,platform area,rail line etc as indicated in below picture 7.

• After that railway has implemented control discharge toilet system (CDTS).

• CDTS works on electrical & pneumatic pressure arrangement.The retention tank which stores effluent has two openings. These two openings activates by double acting pneumatic cylinders and air pressure fed by feed pipe of air brake system. The waste accumulated in the retention tank remains in the retention tank until two parameters are satisfied,one is a predetermined no. of flush counts and predetermined train speed which is around 30km/hr. All the toilet waste is transferred into the retention tank as indicated in below picture 8.

• But even this did not solve the problem.Because this way we will never be able to get rid of the city.

• Even after 100 years of invention of flush toilet, today only 15% of people in the world have a flush toilet. You will be surprised to know that only 3% peoples of rural India and 25% of urban Indians have flush toilets.

• So in order to compliance this order,the Indian Railways has decided to introduce bio-toilets in the trains by DRDO  in the year 2013 as indicated below picture 9.

• Bio-toilet is completely different toilet as compare to the traditional restrooms. It saves a lot of water and helps in keeping the environment clean.Please find below picture 10 shows differentiate between traditional vs bio-toilet for your better understanding.

• Bio-toilet is a decomposition mechanized toilet system which decomposes human excretory waste in the digester tank using specific high graded bacteria (aerobic or anaerobic) further converting it into methane gas, Carbon dioxide gas and water and escape out to environment.

• Bio-toilet have no such maintenance required and very much useful nowadays in Indian railway. 

• "Please don't throw anything dirty things in the toilet" is written on the toilet of train.If anybody through plastic,pen etc in latrine hole or flash,this system can not work properly.That's why railway put one net in flash for prevent unwanted things. 

 6)  Coach No. significance:

• It might be very few people who know the significance of the 5 digit number which is written on a coach. Please follow the answer as mention below-

• Air Conditioned coach- As you can see in below picture 11,that the coach number of this particular coach is 04052. First two numbers 04 indicates the year in which coach is manufactured.The remaining digits in number signify the type of coach whether it is AC two tier or three tier or sleeper. AC coach denotes 1 to 200 nos.

• Non-AC Sleeper coach-As you can see in below picture 12,that the coach number of this particular coach is 93337. First two numbers 93 indicates the year in which coach is manufactured.The remaining digits in number signify the type of coach ie. sleeper. Sleeper coach denotes 201 to 400 nos.

• General Coach-As you can see in below picture 13,that the coach number of this particular coach is 93505. First two numbers 93 indicates the year in which coach is manufactured.The remaining digits in number signify the type of coach ie. general. General coach always have three doors. General coach denotes 401 to 600 nos.

• Non AC Chair Car Coach-As you can see in below picture 14,that the coach number of this particular coach is 09613. First two numbers 09 indicates the year in which coach is manufactured.The remaining digits in number signify the type of coach ie. chair car. Non AC char car coach denotes 601 to 700 nos.

• Seating cum luggage rake Coach-As you can see in below picture 15,that the coach number of this particular coach is 08701. First two numbers 08 indicates the year in which coach is manufactured.The remaining digits in number signify the type of coach ie. seating cum luggage rake coach. Those who are disable who can easily avail this seat.Non AC seating cum luggage rake coach denotes 701 to 800 nos.

• Pantry Car,Generator Car-As you can see in below picture 16,that the coach number of this particular coach is 17854. First two numbers 17 indicates the year in which coach is manufactured.The remaining digits in number signify the type of coach ie. luggage brake and generator car. Those who are disable who can easily avail this seat.Luggage brake and generator car, Pantry car denotes 801 onward.

Chambal Expressway-new upcoming project in India,2020

• Chambal Expressway is a proposed Six-lane expressway in the states of Madhya-Pradesh,UttarPradesh and Rajasthan.

     

• On 4 July, 2020 the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways and MSME Nitin Gadkari reviewed the proposed project of Chambal Expressway through video conference. On this occasion, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar and BJP MP Jyotiraditya Scindia were present.  

• As the name implies the highway will be laid alongside the Chambal River. The cost of the proposed expressway is Rs 8,250 Crores.
• The 404 km long proposed expressway provides an alternative route from Kanpur to Kota through Madhya Pradesh and then joins the Delhi Mumbai corridor.

• So Chambal river most important river in MP.It is least polluted river in India. The Chambal River forms the border of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and other side it is also forms border of UP & Madhya Pradesh some distance away.Figure below shows for better understanding-

                        

• In this Chambal area least backward, don't have proper road,industry,water facilities and there is much less industry.You heard that most of famous dacoits (robbers) belongs to the area once in 80's,90's. That's why this area chosen for development. So road will be constructed ,stating from Bhind to Kota along the Chambal river.

         

Etawah Junction

• From Bhind some distance away city Etawah in UP. Etawah is most important area,the junction is on the Kolkata-Delhi route of golden quadrilateral road.

• The proposed chambal expressway connect with Mumbai Delhi Expressway and Kolkata Delhi Expressway as marked in below picture.This is tentative line shown in below,however exact route can be shown by government later on,whenever DPR is ready.

• As discussed above the total length of the proposed Chambal Expressway is 404 Kms out of which: 

        1) MP - 309 Km

        2) Rajasthan - 78 Km and 

        3) UP - 17 Km

    Chambal Expressway Connectivity :

• The proposed project of Chambal Expressway will provide cross-connectivity with:

          - Golden Quadrilateral's Delhi-Kolkata corridor.

          - North-South Corridor

          - East-West Corridor

          - and Delhi-Mumbai-Expressway.

• It will also provide an alternate route from Kanpur to Kota through Madhya Pradesh. 

• Nitin Gadkari said, to bring down the cost of the upcoming project, royalty and tax exemptions on the project material will save more than Rs 1,000 crore.

• The royalty on minerals for the upcoming project has already exempted by the Madhya Pradesh state.

• The land acquisition cost that Rs 650 crore will be shared by the all states. 

      Who will be benefited :

• The proposed Chambal expressway could be a game-changer for tribal communities and poor living in the remote areas mainly in the Chambal region as it is considered as the most backward area in the country.

• The farmers from all the three states that is MP, Rajasthan, and UP will be the biggest beneficiaries as they will be able to send their produce to the markets of Delhi, Mumbai. 

• It will help in industrialization and development of the Chambal division of Madhya Pradesh and also offer huge employment in this area. 

• Logistics parks will be constructed on the lines of multi-modal logistics parks in Indore,Jabalpur, and Jaipur.

      Importance of road:

• For economic development road plays an important role.It will automatically creates economic development.

• In the world, the road network of India is the second largest,after USA.India has about 58.98 lakh kms of the road network,as on year 2020. It comprises of national highways, expressways, state highways, major district roads, other district roads, and village roads. Details as mention below-

            1) The length of National highways/expressways - 1,32,500 kms,

      

         2) The length of State highways -1,56,694 kms.

         3) Length of other roads - 56,08,477 kms.

• Also note that the highways/expressways constitute only about 1.7% of the length of all roads and also carry about 40% of the road traffic.

• So guys I guess it's a very good decision to make this express for future development. Till now, Chambal, which has been identified as well-known bandits, is going to be high-tech. The Central Government has given its approval for construction of Chambal Expressway.
